How should the United States respond to the worst humanitarian crisis in 40 years in Gaza?

Gaza
longhaired freaky person asked:

How about with massive humanitarian aid?
How about suspending aid to Israel until Gaza is freed?
How about funding new infrastructure in Gaza so the Palestinian people can develop their nation without dependence on Israel?
How about deducting the damage Israel does to Gaza’s infrastructure from our annual foreign aid to Israel?
Why should any third country have to solve a humanitarian crisis caused by Israel?

The United States funds Israel, so you could argue that we have an obligation.
Why do some people think caring about a humanitarian crisis imply hatred of someone else?

How about having the oil rich gulf States help their “Muslim brothers” out for once? We are not causing the problem, they are. We are under no obligation to once again pull their fat out of the fire. In the 90s we had a great peace agreement on the table, rejected by the muslims. Its their problem.

for one reason or another they’ve been killing each other from the beginning of time how should a person respond

    Probably by:
    1) claiming it protects God’s chosen people from the evil infidels,
    2) claiming the Palestinians have made their choice to live that way, or
    3) caiming they hate us for our freedom.

As long as those in our government are taking billions from pro-Israeli groups like AIPAC, they will not only continue to look the other way when it comes to Israeli atrocities, but they will continue to fund it with BILLIONS of our tax dollars in free money to Israel and provide them with the most advanced weapons of mass murder and terror.

Edit: “Anti-Semitism” is a typical way to try to shut Americans up. Playing the victim card doesn’t detract from the fact that Israel was established with force, blood, lots of money, and US (the most powerful nation) support. There are many Jews and Israelis that oppose and protest these atrocities of Israel as well. Just as many Americans do with our government that plays the victim card by exploiting 9/11 as a pretext to attack, invade, and occupy other countries.

What the US should do and what they will do are completely different. They should stop funding and supporting the Israeli genocide that is happening in Gaza. But they won’t.
Meanwhile the news stories from there are controlled by US and Israel, so the western world never becomes aware of the real situation.

Kick all the trouble-making, violence-inciting muslims out.

    Problem solved.

  7.   Tip Says:

Its a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation. Everything anyone has tried to bring peace to the area has failed because their are some in the Palestinan camp (Hamas, The PLO, etc…) that don’t want peace they want the land and no Jews period. So I think we should just keep doing what we are doing

Maybe the US should ask Egypt to throw an extension cord over the wall that they built between themselves and Gaza so that the Palestinians don’t have to rely on Israel for anything.

And maybe the US could help stop the Hamas terrorists from firing rickets and mortars from school yards and apartment buildings into Israel.

    - You’re the one who says we need to respond to a humanitarian crisis, and then politicizes three of your four proposed responses.
