if america and the concerned (vocal, anyway) international community invested heavily in the security and infrastructure of Israel, so that 450,000 israelis living beyond the Green Line could be resettled within “Israel Proper”, and so that there was the guarantee that no rockets would fly from the West Bank to israel as htey did from Gaza after THAT disengagement, it could be done.
but that last condition is kinda a bitch. the majority of palestinians do not recognize israel’s right to exist… not just on settlements, but anywhere in Israel.

We may present to the State of Israel that they are breaching the Road Map agreement, the geneva convention, international humanitarian law and the universal declaration of human rights. Then the UN could inform Israel that they will be accountable for their actions and should be charged with collective punishment. As we understand Israel’s condition, Palestinians harbor the Hamas, a terrorist organization bent on destroying the State of Israel and defeating such an organization that uses innocent womena dn children as shields and will incorrigibly attack the Israelis, we understand that destroying the neighborhoods in the Gaza is a step they’re taking to discourage Hamas terrorism, so attacking Israel is not necessary or acceptable in stopping them from building settlements. We still need to understand that not all palestinians harbor the terrorists and not all of them should be held responsible for such acts, so punitive expropriation of land by the state of Israel should still be dealt with by an international organization like the UN. Possibly, a UN military should be used to blockade the supplies needed to annhilate the neighborhoods, negotiations should take place that consist of compromise, a cap on population could be used to keep the need of building permits more controlled and funding should be used to create jewish settlements in Jewish proper while rebuilding teh infrastructures needed for society in the Palestine region.
