The Arabs did contribute immensely in mathematics, science and medicine during the Middle Ages. But this burst of creativity only came after a few centuries of mixing with Jews, Christians, Persians, Hindus and others from whom they learned a lot. As for the Jews betraying Muhammad, the fact is that the Jews had no fights with the pagan Arabs for 500 years UNTIL the coming of Muhammad who chose to fight the Meccans and wanted the Jews to accept him as their prophet. They refused.

To be fair, “satan” in Hebrew means “adversary” not enemy. It is a slight difference. The Zoroastrian religion of the Persians did influence Jewish thinking greatly, as did the philosophical methods of the Greeks who supplanted them. The Jews felt great love for the Persians who restored many Jews back to their homeland in Judea. Alas, this Islamofascist Republic of Iran has little to do with the greatness that was Persia then. The Mullahs took over the place and implanted hatred in its stead.

Because Muhammad and what he did to the Jews of Medina, and the writings in the Koran which in some places demonize Jews. The idea of Jews regaining some of their territory in the “Holy Land” is seen by many of them as a direct threat to the core of Islam itself. By contrast,Evangelical Christians see the resurrection of Jewish rule in Israel as a precursor to the Second Coming.

Why don’t we all recognize the similarities between them/us, like a planet that is being polluted, nuclear threat to human species, devastating asteroids, HIV/AIDS, natural disasters, etc.? Human beings are at the top of the food chain b/c we have evolved quite quickly…if we stay stuck in this primitive way of resolving conflict we will ALL be history! WAKE UP AND EVOLVE to a higher spirited, more tolerant and educated way of being!

In any case I hope you are aware that synonymously with the US-Israeli situation the same relationship existed between their Soviet-Arab counterparts, this was the cold war era.
The above comments are amusing since egypt receives the 2nd largest amount of aid (israel first) from america. Israeli accomplishments -> blame america; hehe stupid mindest.

I see jews as being superior to the Arabs in the middle east in almost countless ways. Much MUCH more scientific achievements. 4 victorious wars against persistent mongering arab hordes. High human development compared to neighbors. High GDP compared to neighbors.
