Ask yourself is it really about the rockets?

What if Hamas dumped all their rockets in the sea tomorrow? Would Gazans enjoy the same freedoms as other nations? Would they be able to open their sea port to foreign ships and rebuild and operate their airport? Would they be able to import and export and carry on trade and develop their economy and prosper like other countries?
Would they be allowed to exploit and develop their offshore gas field? Would their fishermen be allowed to fish in unpolluted waters? Would their young people be able to come and go and take up places at foreign universities?
Would Israel clear out of Gazan airspace permanently? Would the Israeli navy cease its piracy and stay out of Palestinian territorial waters? Would you and I be able to visit Gaza direct?
Fat chance. None of this would suit Israel. So Gazans would be no better off. Their tormented half-existence would continue.
There are no rockets coming out of the West Bank. Yet the illegal Israeli occupation there continues and so does the ethnic cleansing, the land theft, the illegal settlements, the colonization, the demolition of Palestinian homes, the throttling of the economy, the abduction and ‘administrative detention’ of civilians and the massive interference with freedom of movement. Nothing has changed for West Bank Palestinians who DO NOT fire rockets. There is no sign of an end to their misery.
The bloody assault on Gaza therefore has much more to do with Israel’s ambition to expand racial dominance in the Holy Land than crude and erratic rocket-fire. Hamas and the Palestinians holed up in Gaza are simply in the way of the Grand Plan and have to be removed or totally subdued.
The international community needs to keep their eye on the ball – the big issue – which is the ending of the occupation and Israel’s withdrawal to recognized pre-67 borders as required by international law. In short, they need to stop wringing their hands and start delivering justice, which is long overdue.
Palestinians in Gaza will hardly wish to give up armed resistance until they receive copper-bottomed guarantees of a normal life unmolested by Israel… and see concrete
concrete evidence of it.

obviously its a plain genocide!
people can see it, but are unable to believe that how a ‘peaceful’ nation like israel which is also a democracy, could commit such an act!

you somehow sucker to believe that these people(links) want peace.
I dont’ get how you can believe that.

Israel left Gaza in 2005, giving Palestinians the chance to run their own lives. Despite this, more than 6300 rockets and mortars have been fired into Israel since then.
A quarter of a million Israeli citizens have been living under incessant terror attacks from the Gaza Strip with thousands of missiles fired over the past eight years.
These missiles have been described as “home made” by the media. They are, in fact, deadly. Hamas has in its possession longer range Katyushas and Grad-type missiles which can cause devastation such as that on Monday 29 December as one Israeli was killed and 14 injured in a Grad attack on Ashkelon.
During the past year alone, more than 3000 rockets and mortars have been launched into Israel.
Since the end of a formal ceasefire (during which terror attacks continued) with Hamas came to an end on Dec. 19, more than 170 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israeli civilians including a barrage of some 80 missiles on Dec. 24 alone.
As US President-elect Obama stated during a visit to Sderot five months ago, “If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I would do everything to stop that, and would expect Israel to do the same thing.”
No other country in the world would have exercised the amount of restraint that Israel has shown for the past several years without responding.
The deterioration in the situation is the direct result of Hamas policy. It violated the calm, is firing against and attacking Israeli citizens, and is investing all its resources in arming itself and gathering power.
If Hamas would renounce the path of terror, there would be no need for the Israeli action. Quiet will be answered with quiet, but terror will elicit a response.
“We strongly condemn the repeated rocket and mortar attacks against Israel and hold Hamas responsible for breaking the ceasefire and for the renewal of violence there.” – US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice
“We talked to them [Hamas] and we told them ‘please, we ask you, do not end the truce. Let the truce continue and not stop’ so that we could have avoided what happened.” – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas
“For quite some time, Egypt has been warning. Whoever tried to confuse the understand of [ignore] this warning, must bear the responsibility. The Prime Minister of Israel warned the Hamas and said: “You must stop, otherwise we will take measures in response.” In response to what? To not renewing the calm, to the rocket fire. Just before the arrival of [Israeli Foreign Minister] Livni to Egypt, 60 rockets were fired from Gaza!” – Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit

The might dump them tomorrow and then start stock piling them again.
It is about the murderous antics of Islamic terrorists funded and supported by Iran and Syria.
Hamas and its masters do not want peace they want the removal of Israel.
So I think it is about the survival of Israel when surrounded by countries anxious to destroy it because it is not a muslim state.

Wrong way round. The Palestinians swore that if Israel left Gaza, terrorism would end. Israel LEFT. Totally.
Ten minutes later, the Palestinians voted in terrorist group Hamas and the terrorism INcreased.
And it is about the rockets and the people they are killing. Here is a list of Israeli civilian deaths courtesy of Hamas and various other terrorist groups:
***Some*** of the Israeli CIVILIANS murdered by Hamas and a few other Palestinian Terrorist groups in last few years:
July 22, 2008: Sixteen people were wounded when a man drove a bulldozer into a bus and four other vehicles in central Jerusalem. The attack was an attempted copycat of an earlier attack on Jerusalem’s Jaffa Road on July 2, 2008. T
July 2, 2008: An Arab resident of Jerusalem deliberately drove a bulldozer into pedestrians and vehicles in central Jerusalem, overturning and flattening a number of buses and cars. Three people were killed and 66 injured in the attack.
April 9, 2008: Two Israeli civilians were killed and two wounded when Palestinian terrorists attacked an Israeli-controlled border crossing where fuel is piped into Gaza. The attack at the Nahal Oz depot was carried out by members of various terrorist movements, including the Popular Resistance Committees.
March 6, 2008: Eight men, seven of them teenagers, were killed when a Palestinian gunman entered the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem and opened fire. The terrorist also wounded nine in the attack before he was killed at the scene.
February 4, 2008: A 73-year-old woman was killed and 40 people were wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a shopping center in the southern city of Dimona. A second bomber was shot by a police officer who noticed him reaching for his explosive belt. Both HAMAS and Fatah claimed responsibility for the attack.
January 24, 2008: Two terrorists entered the Mekor Hayim High School Yeshiva in Kfar Etzion, south of Jerusalem, and stabbed two students. The terrorists were killed by two of the counselors in the room. HAMAS claimed responsibility for the attack.
January 24, 2008: Rami Zoari, 20, from Beersheba, a border police officer, was killed and another female officer was seriously wounded after terrorists approached the entrance to Shuafat refugee camp in northern Jerusalem and opened fire on a group of Israelis. The Battalions of Struggle and Return, a previously anonymous offshoot of Fatah’s Al Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack.
December 28, 2007: Two Israelis were killed by Palestinian terrorists while hiking outside of Hebron. A third hiker managed to escape.
January 29, 2007: Three people were killed in a suicide bombing in a bakery in Eilat, the first suicide bombing in the city. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
June 25, 2006: Eliahu Asheri, 18, of Itamar, was kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists from the Popular Resistance Committees while hitchhiking from Betar Illit, southwest of Bethlehem, to Neveh Tzuf, where he was studying. His body was found on June 29 in Ramallah. Israeli Authorities believe Asheri was murdered by his captors shortly after his kidnapping.
April 17, 2006: Nine people were killed and at least 40 wounded in a suicide bombing near the old central bus station in Tel Aviv. The blast ripped through Falafel Rosh Ha’ir, the same restaurant that was hit by an attack on January 19. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah’s Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades both claimed responsibility for the attack.
The HAMAS led PA government defended the suicide bombing, calling it an act of “self-defense.” Hamas official spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri called the attack “a natural result of the continued Israeli crimes against our people”.
March 30, 2006: Four people were killed in a suicide bombing outside Kedumim in the northern West Bank. The Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades took responsibility for the attack.
January 19, 2006: At least 30 people were injured in a suicide bombing near the old central bus station in southern Tel Aviv. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
December 29, 2005: Three people were killed – two Palestinian civilians and an Israeli soldier – in a suicide bombing at a checkpoint near Tulkarm. The suicide bomber was apparently planning to target one of the many children’s events taking place in Tel Aviv for the Hanukkah holiday, but was stopped at the checkpoint. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
December 5, 2005: Five people were killed and more than 50 others injured in a suicide bombing at the entrance of a shopping mall in Netanya. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
October 26, 2005: Six people were killed and 55 wounded in a suicide bombing in an outdoor market in the town of Hadera. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
October 16, 2005: Palestinian gunmen killed three Israelis and wounded as least 5 others in two separate drive-by

I would almost agree with you except I believe that if the rocket launchers (not all are Hamas) would stop it right this minute while the world is watching, involved and concerned; I believe there would be a chance to achieve 5 steps forward toward 67 land borders for the Palestinian peoples. This is their chance to get the world assistance they need and they are blowing it by their call for “martydom operations”.
February 7th, 2009 at 8:28 pm
that is why hamas will not dump rockets and will at least try to get there land back from jews who took it over in 1948.
OK so you admit you want war, why are you crying now that you have it?? If you will never dump your firecrackers in the sea then we can end it today for you if you’d like??
I dont think seeing israelie children sign bombs/missiles before they are dropped on gaza is as bad as dressing your children up as armed robbers including guns when they are going to kindergarten……and i haven’t seen any Israeli children carrying guns and chanting like animals from caves………time to wake up, the time you have been waiting for is now…….are you going to fight or lay down??
I thought so……………

Yes it is about the rockets. I’ve been in Sderot. It’s a living nightmare, every day, every second next to concrete with fear. I was a wreck & only there a short while.
Your question doesn’t work because it removed the key element – that Hamas won’t give up fighting!! It’s in their charter to destroy Israel. This is a lovely video of their thought process. Could you make peace with that — do you think they’ll stop with the rockets?
“My message to the loathed Jews
is that there is no god but Allah,
we will chase you everywhere!
We are a nation that drinks blood,
and we know that there is no better
blood than the blood of Jews.
We will not leave you alone until
we have quenched our thirst with your blood
and our children’s thirst with your blood,
we will not rest until you leave the Muslim countries.
In the name of Allah, we will destroy you and
blow you up, take revenge against you,
purify the land of you, pigs
that have defiled our country.”
There are Arab who want peace, but supporting the propoganda & myths of the most violent & hateful, doesn’t do them or Israel any good on their efforts towards peace.
================
International law was VERY clear that Israel does not have to go to 67 borders – the “the” was debated at length & NOT included purposely.
This Arab hate didn’t start with ‘67. It CAUSED ‘67. It’s the Arab Muslim idea that no one should live in the ME unless under Muslim rule. Right after ‘67 israel tried to give it back with famous response 3 nos “no israel, no peace, no negotations”. She voted yes on a PA country in 2000. It’s not about race, there are 1.2 Muslim Arab Israelis with full citizenship. It’s about hating Jews & Muslims ruling.
Ethnic cleaning? 1 MILLION people there, & 400 MILITARY according to Hamas killed. The goal of war is to defeat your enemy, not pussyfoot around. And Hamas charter is to kill Israel, so that’s enemy.
February 10th, 2009 at 2:05 am
why can you not see, that Hamas have been rocketing Israel for years and years, Israel has had enough. Hamas hide amongst the population, so obviously the public are going to get bombed by the Israelis. The Israelis do not want to hurt the ordinary peaceful people and have offered to give aid to them , but they just have to get rid of this Hamas organisation.
The world will be a better and safer place without Hamas.
February 12th, 2009 at 4:05 am
‘Peace loving’ Israel is committing ethnic cleansing right in front of everyones eyes and the Israeli apologists KNOW it but they do not want to ACKNOWLEDGE it for fear of being labelled anti-semitic. The fact is wishing for a FREE Palestine doesn’t make you anti-semitic it makes you the peaceful realist who dares to speak the truth and demand justice.
February 14th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
Israel took these lands in 1967 because attacks were being made on Israel from there.
BTW these lands were not independent at the time; there was never an independent “Palestine.”
Now, as long as attacks still come from these lands, why would Israel retreat from them? “Palestine,” or whatever you call it, has got to stop the aggression first.
February 17th, 2009 at 12:21 pm
I asked myself, and it turns out I just don’t give a damn.
February 20th, 2009 at 4:46 pm
No I believe it was planned to just get rid of them any reasonable person can see the overwhelming US style indiscriminate fire power.
The people got desperate and did a bit of suicide bombing, that is no worse than carpet bombing where children want to play, not dodge unexploded bombs.
It always sickens me when Israel are always trying to justify themselves, WTF?? Come on! Not all of us are lunatics.
February 22nd, 2009 at 10:49 am
and there was silly old me thinking it was about a little blood feud over land and religion.
February 24th, 2009 at 9:17 am
What if Hamas dumped their rockets? Would be great to see them do that. All you suggest just might happen. It takes one act of courage to start a path toward peace. Someone has to act first. The truce agreement was a start, too bad that Hamas can not be trusted.
February 25th, 2009 at 6:21 am
I don’t think it is about that, but what annoys me is that Hamas should know that they are being baited and not rise to it. What they need to do is make sure that not one rocket leaves Gaza. They shouldn’t do anything at all but live their lives and try their best to build up their country, because when they fire rockets, when they do anything to defend themselves the issues get confused, Israel uses it to base their lies and garner sympathy. If they didn’t’ rise to it, the world would then see exactly who is to blame, and who is the cause of the problems, because it is like you say, no matter how peaceful the Gazans would be they would still suffer. But they are suffering now, and they would suffer anyway, so better to suffer and show the world who is at fault.
February 27th, 2009 at 2:16 am
The Gazan people are kidnapped and held hostage by a gang of unruly thugs.
March 1st, 2009 at 7:39 am
A very good question and this is just what these rockets are all about. After 61 years of Israeli persecution the People of Gaza and the West bank can see no light at the end of the tunnel. Israel “gave ” them these 2 small parts of Palestine but have continually been picking away at them building even more illegal settlements in the West band and imprisoning 1.5 million without freedom of their own. Israel has to take most if not all of the blame they they themselves have got themselves into
March 2nd, 2009 at 10:05 pm
You may give up man- everyones brain dead
March 3rd, 2009 at 8:57 am
Nah its just human beings buggering about same as usual
March 6th, 2009 at 7:12 am
Your question is full of what if´s, Hamas is a terrorist group who has bitten of more than it can chew and i hope they and those like them are buried as for your concrete proof spend your time in the real world and what exactly is a Gazan? you pathetic twat, Hamas will never surrender its arms and has made it clear of it´s hate and proposed down fall of Israel so go away and crawl back in your idiotic hole
March 8th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
Hi,
I believe it is worth while to give it a try.
Israel had left Gaza in 2005, hoping to have peace.
Israel had open the border in Nov 2008, wanting to have peace. But was closed in 2 days after rockets fired into israel again.
Just look at recent history alone, it is enough to think it is worthwhile to try to throw the rockets into the seas.
But again, may I ask, which nations will run the country by getting free food from others (UN), and fuel and electricity from Israel, but do nothing for their people but to build rockets and procreate (the leader that just died had 4 wives and 10 childrens!!!!).
What else did he do to this land Gaza where he rules? More roads? More farm? More factory? More schools? More power station?
Rebuild sea port? rebuild airport? Nope. But more rockets that fly further.
March 11th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
Gee if they did that would they then recognize Israel’s right to exist in Israel and put it back on the maps and stop teaching terrorism in their schools?
Are would they instead dress their children up as suicide bombers and parade the next generation of Hamas and terror tactics?
March 14th, 2009 at 4:14 pm
What an awesome question! You are so right, the Palestinian people have been abused by the Israelis for 60yrs and can see no end in sight. Not until the jews return to their countries and return the arab lands to their rightful owners will there ever be peace. The jews are not a nation, they are a religion.
March 17th, 2009 at 3:17 pm
That’s ridiculous! You must be some kind of nut.
What would happen if criminals stopped committing crime? Probably nothing, so let them continue.
What are you 5 years old?
